At backyardDepot, we stand behind every product we sell. If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, we are here to help.
30-Day Return Window
You have 30 days from the date of delivery to request a return. To be eligible for a return, your item must be:
- In its original, unused condition
- In the original packaging with all accessories, parts, and documentation included
- Free from damage caused by misuse, improper assembly, or neglect
Non-Returnable Items
The following items cannot be returned:
- Items returned more than 30 days after delivery
- Products that have been assembled, installed, or used
- Items damaged due to customer misuse or improper handling
- Custom or special-order products
- Items marked as final sale
How to Initiate a Return

Please include your order number and reason for return. Our team will respond within 1–2 business days with a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number and return instructions. Do not ship items back without an RMA — unauthorized returns will not be accepted.
Return Shipping Costs
Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the return is due to our error (wrong item shipped, item arrived damaged or defective). We recommend using a trackable shipping method, as we cannot be responsible for items lost in transit.
Restocking Fee
All approved returns are subject to a 20% restocking fee deducted from your refund. This fee covers the cost of inspecting, repackaging, and returning items to sellable inventory. The restocking fee does not apply if the return is due to our error (wrong item shipped, item arrived damaged or defective).
Refunds
Once we receive and inspect your returned item, we will notify you by email. If approved, your refund will be processed to your original payment method within 5 business days, minus the 20% restocking fee. Please note that your bank or card issuer may take additional time to post the refund.
Damaged or Defective Items
If your order arrived damaged or you received the wrong item, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photos of the damage and your order number. We will arrange a replacement or full refund at no cost to you, including return shipping.
Cancellations
Orders can be cancelled free of charge if they have not yet been processed or shipped. Once an order has shipped, it cannot be cancelled and must go through our standard return process. To request a cancellation, contact us immediately at kevinraymond822@gmail.com.
